Повідомляємо про завершення праці жюрі Літературно-наукового конкурсу Воляників-Швабінських серед праць, виданих в 2021 році. На жаль, з різних причин, а головне через те, що ми не отримали електронні адреси лавреатів, а також через війну премії та не виплачені і грамоти не передані таким особам: Владислав Сердюк з Києва,  Ярослав Поліщук з Польщі, Антон Каплінський з Чорткова, Володимир Тимчук, з Кропивницького і Степан Процюк з Івано-Франківська. Конкурс 2023 відкрито

Фундація Українського Вільного проголошує Літературно-науковий конкурс серед праць, виданих у 2022 році. Премії конкурсу надаються з окремого Фонду, створеного 31 грудня 1997 року родинами Стефана і Емілії Воляників та Теодора і Софії Швабінських з Огайо, США. Від того часу Фундація щороку проводить конкурс, додаючи до преміального фонду кошти і від самої Фундації. Просимо висилати свої твори, які вперше з’явилися друком у 2022 році (не перевидання) до 30 червня 2023 року до Фундації УВУ на адресу:Ukrainian Free University Foundation, 136 Second Avenue, 5th floor, New York, NY 10003.Творчість може бути у формі повістей, новель, поезії, наукових есеїв, публіцистики тощо. Announcement of laureates of the literary and scientific competition of the Foundation of the Ukrainian Free University 2022.

The jury, consisting of Olga Volyanyk-Kuzyshyn, Ihor Nikolyuk and Larisa Zanyk, made the final decision regarding awarding prizes to the winners of the Volyanyk-Shwabinsky Literary and Scientific Competition for works published in 2021. The first prize was awarded to George Chornoy for the historical study "Who are we, Ukrainians?". The second prize was awarded to: Mykola Pavlenka for the novel "The Distant Delusion of Time, or the Last Frontier of Ataman Shaly"; Maria Tkachevska for the novel "Princess Ostrozka"; Andrii Mysyuk "Delyatyn-Osyp Vaskiv" and Viktoriya Tipchuk "Delyatyn-Vasyl Turchenyak" from the series of memories of outstanding people; and Mykola Voziyanov for the poetry "Free Sonnets". The Foundation of the Ukrainian Free University (FUU) announces the 2021 literary and scientific publication competition. Winners of the competition will be awarded cash prizes from the Foundation, established on December 31, 1997 by the families of Stefan and Emilia Volyanik and Theodore and Sophia Schwabinski from Ohio, as well as from additional funds donated by the Foundation itself. The competition is held every year. Please send your works that first appeared in print in 2021 (not reprints) by June 30, 2022 to the office of the UVU Foundation with a cover letter to: Ukrainian Free University Foundation, 136 Second Avenue, New York, NY 10003. The laureates of the FUVU competition named after Volyanik-Shwabinsky

The jury consisting of Olga Volyanyk-Kuzyshyn, Ihor Nikolyuk, Larisa Zanyk and Hanna Dudyk made a decision to honor the participants of the literary and scientific competition named after the Volyanyk-Shwabinsky Foundation of the Ukrainian Free University for works published in 2020. The first prize was awarded to Roman Horak for the biography of Vasyl Stefanyk, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the outstanding classic writer and public figure, a prominent master of the psychological novel, storyteller, world-class short story writer. The author's long-term research work made it possible to create a thorough publication about V. Stefanyk as a world novelist. Laureates of the Literary and Scientific Competition of the UVU Foundation named after Volyanik-Shwabinsky for works published in 2019

The jury of the Foundation of the Ukrainian Free University (FUU), consisting of Maria Polishchuk, Olga Volyanyk-Kuzyshyn, Leonid Rudnytskyi, Ihor Mirchuk, and Ihor Nikolyuk, made the final decision regarding awarding prizes to the laureates of the Literary and Scientific Competition named after Volyanik-Shwabinsky for works published in 2019. The first prize was awarded to Volodymyr Svyatnenko for the novel "Samurai. Ukrainian history". The author depicts the events of the Kholodnoyarsk Republic. Considerable attention is paid in the book to the analysis of the difference between the psychology of Ukrainians and Russians and the similarity of the mentality of Ukrainian Cossacks and Japanese samurai in the struggle for justice and independence of their state. The deadline for submitting papers to the Literary and Scientific Competition named after Volyanik-Shwabinskyi

In view of the exceptional circumstances related to the pandemic, the Ukrainian Free University Foundation is extending the period for submission of papers to the Volyanik-Shwabinsky Literary and Scientific Competition until August 31, 2020. The best scientific works on Ukrainian studies and literary works of various genres, written in Ukrainian or English, which were published in book format in Ukraine or in the diaspora in 2019, can be submitted to the competition. Works or compilations, where the majority are reprinted materials, as well as works in which specifically members of the FUU Board of Directors or members of the jury were involved, are not allowed.
