Dear friends, colleagues, alumni and partners! In the fall of 2025, the 80th anniversary of the Ukrainian Free University in Munich was celebrated. On October 23, 2025, the Old Town Hall of Munich (Altes Rathaus) became the epicenter of the anniversary celebrations and the traditional Dies Academicus. This anniversary was held under the honorary patronage of Oberburg Mayor Dieter Reiter, which emphasizes our deep integration and importance to the Bavarian capital. We honored eight decades dedicated to fostering Ukrainian science, culture and statehood outside the homeland. It was an event full of high spirit and deep symbolism! Laureates of the UFU Foundation contest awarded

    NEW YORK. Since 1998, the Ukrainian Free University Foundation (UFUF) has been holding the Volianyk-Shvabinsky Literary and Scientific Competition almost every year. Part of the funds for the prizes for the laureates come from the Volianyk-Shvabinsky Foundation at the Ukrainian Free University, and part of the funds come directly from the Ukrainian Free University. This year's competition was open to works in Ukrainian or English on Ukrainian topics that first appeared in print in 2024. Authors could be from any country in the world. The competition jury consisted of: Ihor Mykoliuk (chairman of the jury), Olga Volianyk and Larysa Zanyk. The first prize was awarded to the book by Vasyl Ilnytsky and Mykola Posivnych "M.
