I learned about the existence of this legendary educational institution for the first time from the Internet, planning to get a doctoral education abroad and being interested in educational institutions in Germany. I remember that I was pleasantly surprised that such a university existed at all, because I had never heard of it before, just as most of my fellow students in Ukraine had never heard of UVU. After getting to know UVU better, I realized that it is the first higher educational institution and scientific institution of the Ukrainian emigration abroad with its glorious historical past.
